Center for the Constitution
The Georgetown Center for the Constitution has seen a promising growth in its Student Fellows Program, now hosting 175 active members.
In February, the Center sponsored a debate between Cato Institute’s Ilya Shapiro and the Constitutional Accountability Center’s David Gans on the topic of religious liberty. Following this debate, students tested Shapiro and Gans with thoughtful questions on the impact of Hobby Lobby and the constitutional rights of corporations.
On March 3, the Center and the Federalist Society co-sponsored a panel featuring the Honorable Diane Wood of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. The panel tackled the question of expanding federal diversity jurisdiction to include all cases in which any two parties come from different states.
Center on National Security and the Law

The Center and Professor Laura Donohue were excited to host the 2nd National Security Crisis Law Simulation Invitational at Georgetown Law on March 27 and 28, a competition with 11 student teams from law schools across the country.
The Center on National Security and the Law and the Human Rights Institute have partnered to create the Guantanamo Observers Program<http://georgetown.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=aaeb9e747e99132a02bf99535&id=ca95858420&e=825823a0b0>, and since last October we have sent seven students to Guantanamo to observe the active military commissions cases, and three more students are scheduled to observe in April. The Center on Transnational Business and the Law (in conjunction with UNCITRAL) held a well-attended conference of experts on January 30 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods.
Center for the Study of the Legal Profession
The Center for the Study of the Legal Profession will be hosting Authorized Revolution: Regulatory Disruption of the Legal Services Market on April 24, 2015. Georgetown Climate Center
The Georgetown Climate Center and the Federal Highway Administration released 100 case studies<http://georgetown.us10.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=aaeb9e747e99132a02bf99535&id=b8b9b9b059&e=825823a0b0> in February demonstrating how communities are responding to the growing threats from climate change to our transportation system, a project coordinated by recent Georgetown Law graduates now employed by our Center.

In January, the Center on Poverty and Inequality co-hosted a conference with the White House and the US Department of Education on increasing marginalized girls’ access to STEM and Career and Technical Education. 1000+ people attended in person or online.

Supreme Court Institute
By the end of April, the Supreme Court Institute (SCI) will have provided a moot court to counsel in every case argued before the Supreme Court during the current Term.
In January, the SCI, along with GULC chapters of the ACLU and Federalist Society, held a discussion of upcoming highlights during the second half of the Court's Term, featuring veteran Supreme Court advocates.
And in February, the SCI partnered with the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law to host a debate on King v. Burwell, the challenge to the Affordable Care Act currently pending before the Court.
Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship
