B This is what the nobleman Gregorio Barbarigo, priest and later cardinal, the son of the founder of this villa and its grounds intended, when he made his mark on the design and layout of the gardens and wanted to bring the heavenly peace to this fortunate part of Italy. Gregorio was later made a saint. This is therefore a Saintbs Garden, so to speak b but even more so literally.
