Sorry that had to be postponed. I know how difficult this is for you, because we haven't spoken a word to each other for more than eight years. After a friendship that began in 1979, that's a very long time (perhaps too long to rectify now)-- but that was your choice, not mine. As we've grown older, we've both lost a number of good friends who never even made it to 70--the bell curve really sucks, doesn't it, especially now that I'm 65! You were always my very best and closest friend of all-and you know it--so you ought to understand how disappointed I have felt by your disappearance from my life for the last ten years. As I indicated in September, if you would genuinely like to re-connect as I do, all you have to do is call to arrange a meeting and actually keep the date. If you prefer not to do that, so be it. We had a great friendship for a very long time and we shared some great times together. I will always remember them.
