If the AK-47 is supposedly the best firearm, why
doesn't the US military use it?
Robert Clouse
,vr i,.en Oct . ;r.
The AK-47 is cheap, very reliable, and simple to train and maintain. It
has been said the first child's weapon should be a AK-47, because
almost impossible make it not work.
It is very effective in combat, but not the best in every way. Most
weapons from the M-16 forward are lighter that. The AK-47 is good at
short range, but not longer ranges, as it is not accurate at longer
ranges compared to ...

Is Hillary Clinton going to defeat Donald Trump fair
and square?
Francis Dickinson, Eclectic Quoran (is one person quorate?)
ua,h.tud Fri
First, there have been checks on whether people are hiding support for
Trump in the polls. And it turns out not - Trump in all the primaries
actually underperformed his polling numbers and he gets more
support in surveys where the survey taker is a person than in
anonymous ones. The evidence is that Trump's polling is at a higher

level than his actual support.
Second, Juanita Brodderick's entire...

What is the biggest culture shock you have ever
faced?
Ethan McNamara
\ Updated Sep 23
My biggest culture shock was in the United States after I had lived
there all my life for 14 years. It was when I found out that these rice
cookers are not very common to have in a house. Growing up half
Fillipino, I had one at my house, and all of my relatives had one.
I remember it really well. It was Eigth Grade Spanish class, our
assignment was to explain a recipe in Spanish, of course I was...

What is the bitter truth about admission to Ivy
League schools?
Tom Stagliano, Senior Aerospace Engineer (studied at MIT)
Written Nov 15.2015
The bitter truth is that after they determine that you could do the work
and graduate within four years (and it doesn't matter how much better
than that threshold you are), what Truly matters to those colleges is:
"What do You offer to the undergraduate community outside of the
classroom?"
If you are not passionate and committed to some extracurricular
activities that are of interest to that c... Read More »

\ \ I Jeff Lee, CFO, Truth Seeker
Updated Oct 1:
Interesting you should ask. I was at a dinner party last night, and we
asked everyone present if ANY of them knew someone who said they
were voting for Trump, and not one did. I work with over 120 people,
and there are only two who claim to be voting for him. I am also
involved in a religious readers group, with 3o members and not one is
voting for him. So, this is roughly 196 overall. We came to...

How dangerous is East Palo Alto?
Adam D'Angelo, Quora CEO®
Written Feb 21, 2010
I was driving through there in the middle of the night a few years ago
and, at a red light, some guy opened the car door and tried to get in. So
I generally lock my doors when I drive through but otherwise I don't
think it's too bad. Read More
Who pays full price to fly in first class?
t / ; Christian Jagodzinski
Updated Thu
I'm a $5om+ guy. Typically, when I travel alone on long-haul flights, I
fly First. When I travel with my family (4 seats), I fly Business,
because even for me 4 seats in First appear crazily expensive.
First Class is not about "getting value for your money". The same way
that staying at a 5 star hotel suite for St000+inight is not. Is flying
First "20 times better" than flying coach (when it cos...

Why are cops allowed to draw their weapons when

Michael Thomas Flynn
Written Oct 7
Here is an image of a Bond Arms "Backup" in .45 ACP. I own one,
amazing little weapon, stainless steel, beadblasted for a non reflective
finish, built like a tiny bank-vault and the barrels can be changed from
the lethal .45acp.. to a .410 Shotgun shell (it grows about an inch or so
in this config).
The reason I like it is because when I drop it into the pocket of my
shorts on a hot and sunny da...

Dale Griggs

I was in my 7th grade health class and the teacher asked, "What is the
speed of a nerve impulse when it travels to the brain?" I had read an
article about that at one time and the teacher asked me, "What is your
answer?" I replied, "Four miles per hour." The whole class erupted in
laughter and the derision . I thought I was correct in my answer but
after everyone in the class did that, I lost s...
