We received your correspondence dated 11/10/2017 requesting to =eschedule your asylum interview on 11/14/2017. This was your first request to reschedule =our asylum interview. Because you established "good =ause" for your request to reschedule your asylum interview, we =re granting your request and will mail you a new interview appointment =otice in the near future. Repeated requests to reschedule are =iscouraged. Repeated reschedules place a significant burden on =he Asylum Office. The Asylum Office will not grant future =eschedule requests except where you establish "good cause."=Good cause is defined as a "reasonable excuse for being unable =o appear for an asylum interview." In reviewing whether there =s good cause to reschedule your interview, the Asylum Office considers =he facts and circumstances of each case individually. Repeated requests =o reschedule are discouraged and may affect the determination of good =ause. Employment Authorization: If you applied for asylum on or after =anuary 4, 1995, you are subject to a 150-day waiting period before you =an apply for employment authorization, and an additional 30 days before =mployment authorization can be approved, for a total of 180 days. =he number of days a completed asylum application is considered pending =oes not include any delays requested or caused by you while your =pplication is pending with the Asylum Office or with an immigration =udge.
