Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Managing Director, Philanthropic Leadership Network John Templeton Foundation Dear Bamaby: Martin Nowak has been telling me about his proposed new research applications of evolutionary game theory to the behavioral sciences. As you know from our prior discussions, I'm very interested in supporting Martin's work. I understand that the John Templeton Foundation is currently considering a project proposal, in which I would have the opportunity to partner with the Foundation by providing additional funding, ecifrcally that $1,500,328 [$1,304,633 direct costs + $195,695 indirect costs] from Harvard University fund has been budgeted for this project. In 2003 I established this gift to the Program for Evolutionary Dynamics to support precisely this type of cutting edge research. Please know that the stated amount has already been secured by the University and that Martin's administrative team intends to apply said funds to this project for the proposed 3-year period [January I, 2016 - December 31, 2018].
