Btw Brice has the same receiver. He asked about running a cable around the receiver, so I sent him this link that
would allow him to try it:

The Apple TV 4K does not have a separate audio out, all integrated into HDMI.
You could try this to go Pull the audio from ❑tv:
Kind of kludgy tho. can't be certain it will work. (Needs additional 4K HDMI cable, too obviously)

I've asked Jermaine 4x about the age of the HDMI cables and haven't gotten a response. But every other
answer has been incorrect anyway.
We should assume the cables need to be replaced as well.

Good night Rich
Can we get a new projector also?James found that the existing one will not work (it not true 4K)?
Which estate has the best setup for the 4K and let us duplicate the equipment for LSJ with the current
speaker setup in mind.
Everything should be a relative swap out whichl should be able to handle with minimal problems.

That's got a native resolution of 1900x 1200 — not 4K at all. They're doing pseudo-4K, which is taking
1080p content and scaling it up. The Apple TV 4K won't play nice with that (it'll act like the existing
Apple TV 4 that you have).
Also, the McIntosh MX121AV won't do 4K pass through:
From:
The MX122 replaces the MX121 model and adds multiple upgrades, including 4K video support with
high dynamic range (HDR) passthrough,Bluetooth, more streaming services, Dolby Atmos object-
based surround, and upgradability to DTS:X object-based surround and to Auro-3D surround

Good evening James
Our projector is the Pro L1505 ...we sent the 10000 Paris or palm beach. I really don't know where,
but when je brought this new projector I believe it was an upgrade to the 10000. Let me know if it
isn't compatible. If not and we need to change...what is NY using and if JE likes it then lets go with
that.

The McIntosh 121 doesn't support 4K. That was the big feature add to the MX122.
What's the model on the Epson? I was expecting it to be the same LS10000 the boss installed here,
Zorro & Paris?

It is a McIntosh MX121 A/V Control center.
The projector is a Epson WUXGA Laser Projector with 3D glasses.
The speaker layout is as follows:
• center
• Front Sub
• Front Left and Right Surround
• Back Left and Right Surround
• Back Join Left and Right Sub
The remote is the Universal Model MX980

Ah. Netflix only sends actual 4K through the newest Apple TV (less than a month old). I don't
think we can assume what you played was a definitive test.
Please confirm the receiver & cable details when you can.

I am hanging in there getting things back to normal. We are taking it one step at a time. I
view it as a project to make things better than before.
I will verify make and model for you tomorrow so we can make sure that it is completely
compatible. I don't want JE to be dissatisfied because of an oversight. The reviews on this
seems to be very good overall.
I remember upgrading the Netflix app and was able to stream some of their "4K" streams
pretty well, if there are cabling issues it would not hurt to double check.

Hey Jermaine-
I hope you're well — or at least as well as possible given the storms, aftermath etc.
Do you know which model Mcintosh the receiver is? We've got a bunch of non-4K ready
boxes at various houses, so if we have one that is good & supports 4K pass through I may
want to suggest getting more to match it.
Also, how new are the HDMI cables (both from the Apple TV to the receiver & from the
receiver to the projector)? The new 4K Apple TV seems to be really picky about which
cables and receivers it works with.
