Dear Mr. Epstein,
The storm subsided but the rains lasted until noon or so. The weather map at that time seemed to
indicate that we we still in the eye so squalls were possible. No one came out to the island except
Jermaine and Sean to work on the media room issues.
I a tour of the island showed one palm down and few smaller trees uprooted. Overall we are in
good shape and tomorrow I will have the crew do clean up.
At 1pm, Daphne, Jimmy Franguela, Paul Ferrares (an engineer), Danny and I went to the Gym
Road site and discussed drainage, the survey and how Paul could assist in the permit application
process.
Paul will send his recommendations so we can move forward and hope to initiate the road while
Jimmy is working on the pool tile.
We also discussed the front entrance (area at the dock) and he suggested we use the same rigid
grid material to hold the gravel as we have at the main compound (the path you take your ATV
down).
Jimmy will provide an estimate; however, we need to confirm the parameters first. Photos will be
sent to you.
Finally, since Paul was part of the team which constructed Five Palms, we asked his input on the
dome and the contractor from St John. He will send his opinion and some links/leads regarding
domes.
We received some good input and Danny was able to clarify some logistical issues with Jimmy
regarding both the tile and road projects.
The crew is scheduled to work tomorrow and Saturday. Carlos has advised me that we may have
strong seas though both days. The chance of rain is 90% tomorrow and 60% on Saturday. I will
work with Danny, Peter and Dave to come up with a rain day work schedule for indoor projects.
Happy New Year,
Ron
