Subject: Hell pad
I don't understand what the person was thinking that cut the grass at the heli pad today knowing we had a hell arrival at
2pm. Its simple common sense.
- During approach at 30 feet, I en jested a tremendous amount of grass into both engine inlet to compressors and
Generator cooling turbine. During inspection after landing, grass blades where visible on filter inlets.
I highly recommend that landscape personnel use a grass catcher on the lawn mower at heli pad, then follow with a leaf
blower to clear excess, and refrain from cutting the heli pad grass on a arrival day.
Before my next flight, I'm going to remove my inlet barrier filters and have properly cleaned, this is my new $66,000 IBF,
(Inlet Barrier Filters).
