NATIONAL ISSUES
Breonna Taylor: OPA LS — The Washington Post asked for comment on the scope of the FBI's investigation into
the death of Breonna Taylor, and requested information on the collaboration between state and local law
enforcement partners. OPA declined comment.
Epstein/Prince Andrew: OPA/NY — Continue to receive inquiries into Jeffrey Epstein's death and alleged activity
involving Prince Andrew. OPA, in coordination with New York Field Office, declined comment.
LOCAL STORIES
Los Angeles — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department posted an advisory on their official Facebook page
confirming that the FBI is investigating allegations by a Sheriff's deputy that a gang made up of LASD personnel,
and known as the "Executioners," is operating at the department's Compton Station. Division is declining to
confirm/deny the existence of an investigation.
Los Angeles — The USAO—Central District of California issued a press release today announcing
an indictment returned against Samuel' Trelawney Hughes of Pasadena, charged with making a series of
detailed threats to harm, rape and kill 10 victims he met in various social and business settings. The FBI is
seeking additional victims of Trelawney, whom agents believe exist.
Los Angeles — Multiple subjects have been identified in response to publicity in recent weeks to identify and
charge multiple subjects who committed criminal activity during periods of civil unrest in Los Angeles. A
press release, issued today by the USAO-central District of California, announced a federal indictment returned
against Mario Ernesto Alvarado, of Sylmar, charging him with deliberately committing arson at Hollywood's
Pizzeria Mozza restaurant in May. The case is one of many being investigated by the FBI/LAPD "Safe-LA" Task
Force.
Louisville — SAC and ASAC= met with community leaders this morning to discuss our civil rights and
violent crime programs and how the FBI can further engage the community on said issues. No media was
present at the meeting, but they interviewed a prominent community leader immediately after the meeting.
Omaha — SAC participated in a live interview this morning with a local talk radio station. She spoke
about FBI Omaha's partnerships with local law enforcement agencies, specifically the Greater Omaha Safe

Streets task force and the Great Plains Violent Crime task force. SACeas also asked about Operation
LeGend; she spoke generally about the FBI's role in that operation.
Salt Lake City — Significant media coverage of the testimonies of SA ITS-FEend IA during the
preliminary hearing for Chad Daybell, charged with conspiracy to destroy evidence and destruction of evidence.
The remains of Daybell's two stepkids were found on his Idaho property in June.
Tampa — A Fort Myers TV news reporter interviewed SA about Business Email Compromise schemes.
Agent explained how the scam works and what to look out for to avoid becoming a victim. The story
aired last night.
Tampa — An Orlando TV reporter interviewed SSA about fraudulent unemployment insurance claims.
explained how the Criminals use stolen identities to advance the scheme and offered tips on how to
protect your Personally Identifiable Information or PII. The story aired last night.
