Gulfstream has to manufacture the replacement angle that is corroded, delivery date is Jan 4th.
Gulfstream engineering Savanah is reviewing the corroded area, taking into account the part is not available until
Jan 4th, and not a safley of flight issue, we hope to obtain a 30 day extension from Engineering to require us to
clean, prime and install new rivets as temporary repair.
Pm told I will have firm answer later today.,
Pylon Precooler:
I spoke to Tech support, Gulfstream recommends doing a full system integrity check of PreCooler system and
cabin pressurization, which includes installing a temporary digital temp sensor in the pylon to make sure hot air
is triggering the Pylon Precooler operation. Tech support suggest checking Air cycle machine temperature outlet,
since functionality and temperatures of all pressurization components have an effect on preCooler operation.
If we get the 30 day extension, I'd like to have Westfield, Savanah or Brunswick Gulfstream accomplish the
corrosion repair and accomplish Precooler check,.
If you agree?
Thx
Larry
