Starting with the media room I understand Jeffrey wants to forgo the remote I showed him that he really liked and he just wants to do the new receiver, holding off on that remote till a later date. In an effort to have that media room done once and for all, fully upgraded, and so there isn't any more down time I strongly suggest replacing that remote. Due to the age of the remote and since it has been discontinued by Crestron it's only a matter of time until it fails and then we are back to square one with the media room being nonfunctional. If we're allowed to complete this room the right way and not to piecemeal it I think Jeffrey will be very pleased. Moving forward the less time we spend in the home troubleshooting and repairing old equipment the better, the only time we should be called upon is to add something new to the system like Sat TV or cable. As far as the gym is concerned we know there was an electrical event that caused both amps to malfunction on the left channel, we spent quite a few hours on site troubleshooting it. First we had to rewire the system, it was wired incorrectly form the start and then we were able to narrow it down to the amps. We pulled the amp to test it at our facility and still there was the hum on the left channel, we then sent it out to our Krell authorized repair shop where they are awaiting a decision from us whether to repair it or not. Both amps will need to be repaired, we temporarily rewired the gym so Jeffrey can still listen to music while he works out, the total cost of the repair is about $1000. The amps are several years old and due to their nature they are work horses and generate a lot of heat which degrades them over time. The new single amp we EFTA_R1_00353315 EFTA01914645 speced in is twice as powerful and costs less than repairing the two old ones, a repaired amp can possibly go bad again this time the right channel may go causing the gym system to be down again. At this point I need some direction from you regarding the amp in our procession, do you want it repaired and returned or do you want it back in its present condition. Also our company policy is that we invoice for 10% down payment and 100% of all equipment costs related to any job or project before we begin the ordering process, whether it's a new client or one that we've be working with for years. Please let me know as soon as you can what we should do, we are closed the last week of the year and the schedule is filling up.
