Putting identifying code for each work on the third party list is essential for the accounting
group as part of inventory recordlcceping and tracking. I will explain to Heather once whe
arrives.
I spoke about this with Withers a few months back and gave them our identifiers so that they
could incorporate into their list of loans that they maintain and circulate.

Thanks Rich. Regarding the identifier number, we may want to wait for Heather to gets here and
let her instruct Withers as I don't know if she will be using that approach. Please copy me on your
emails to Withers if you decide not to wait. Thanks.

The inventory file has Bathers, Après le bain (Leaving the Bath) (Seated Bather) as
the same work — confirmed with D Howard.
Note the inventory has a institutional loan tab that shows ownership of each
loaned work and whether pledged as collateral
I will ask Jessica Kaplan to add our inventory ID to the roster for the recent loan
works

Hi Diana,
Thank you for sending me the updated Exhibition Loan Agreement chart. I have one question
regarding item 11 on your list. Is this work of art by Manet that you have entitled "Bathers" also
known as "Apres le Bain" or "SealedBather"?
Please note that works of art formerly owned by the Black Family 1997 Trust are now owned by
the APO Declaration. In addition, in July of 2012, Leon contributed many works of art to an
entity called Narrows Holdings LLC. I revised your chart (attached) to include the correct
Lender name in each case. For those agreements that are not yet executed, please revise them to
reflect the correct Lender.
I also revised your chart to complete the column asking whether or not the works are pledged
against bank loans. We will notify the bank in this regard and I will let you know if anything is

required on your end. My understanding is that the bank will have their attorney prepare a Bailee
Agreement for the borrowing institution to sign. Do you wish to look at the document and
forward it to the attorney for the borrowing institution? Or shall we simply put the bank's
attorney in touch with the borrowing institution?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Ada Clapp
