Friends,
As the old song says, "Old friends are the best friends after all". Attached is the Publisher's Letter from the Legends
magazine, which is the in-house publication for Kiawah Island, that for the last two decades has been annually awarded as the
best privately produced publication. Because of a family dispute, Leonard Long is leaving his position in Kiawah Island
entirely to his cousin, Buddy Darby. Therefore, this is the last publication of Legends that Leonard will do. It is particularly
important, because it will be the current one when The Ocean Course at Kiawah hosts the PGA Championship this summer.
While the letter mentions Bill Goodwin, the present owner of The Ocean Course and one who put up substantial money to
attract the PGA Championship, it primarily focuses on Dad, therefore, I thought you might be interested.
