How can we set physics on the right track? There are several camps that seem to have stopped talking to each
other (with Steven prominently in one of them, seen as an outsider, even though his approach is very promising).
Is it possible to get science work across paradigms, or do we need to wait for a paradigm to die off?
The situation is perhaps a bit similar to Noam in linguistics (with the difference that Noam pretty much started
the field, so he will always be recognized, even if many linguists do not buy into what he does now)?
With respect to language:
Steven proposes to do everything by exhaustive search of the problem space: automatically find the smallest set
of programs that can produce the observables. Noam seems to believe that there are somewhat complex,
irreducible circuits that we have to figure out to understand language?
The obvious question: can we solve language by exhaustive search over simple type3 grammars? Is this how the
brain does it?
Bests to everybody!
