Mr. Delacruze told me that the present carpet will be removed and the Stairs will need durable and
long lasting finish.
He told me that the Stairs will not be covered with carpet any more and the finish needs to withstand
all the traffic.
Having this on my mind, I suggest triple layer of the best varnish on the market. I also noticed that
the surface to be treated is
double the size of the doors. Still, I need to work from the erected scaffold to reach all carved side
decorations of the steps.

For refinishing Staircase leading from the First to the Second Floor.
Surface to be refinished;
1. 29 steps and raisers 20"X72" 290 square
feet
2. Landing no. I. 36 square

Total 414 square feet of surface
Sand entire surface for smoothness with #120, 180, 320 grade of sand paper
Wash entire surface with Denatured Alcohol to remove impurities from the surface
Wash with Aceton to completely de-grease the surface to avoid the forming "fish-eyes" before the
application of varnish.
Triple application of the best varnish on the market, sanding between the coats.
Total for labor
$12,600.-
Allow two day between next application of varnish.
Materials,
Sand Paper grade 120, 180, 320- open
coat $206.-
Washing Solvents, Denatured Alcohol, Aceton, Paint Thinners,
