Thanks, Lawrence. I appreciate that. And truly, whether you hire or me or someone else, you just have to ignore the advice of people
who tell you to "play ball" and not have a lawyer surface. Many things are debatable in the Title IX world; this is not one of them, I
promise you—especially given the somewhat complex constitutional issues at play in your case.
And I am a man of my word, so I will call Jeffrey as planned at 11 on Saturday unless you insist otherwise. I understand that this is an
extremely stressful time, that you're getting a lot of advice from many different quarters, and that having someone you trust talk to the
person you're thinking of hiring can be very important.

have thought about this.. I don't want you to have to take more of your time talking to him.. Sony to have asked.. It wasn't really fair.
You have spent enough time on this. I am going to assess this all and make a decision in the coming days. I do appreciate all your
advice thus far, and I am prepared to move forward at this moment, but want to think about it carefully before committing.

You are getting terrible advice from smart people who have never done this work and have no idea what they're talking about. I
understand where they're coming from, but it is just bad advice, MI stop. I could give you dozens of examples where the only reason
my clients got off-•and we get a lot off—was because we fought hard to make the process fair. Moreover, no one will take
seriously the constitutional law arguments of a physicist, no matter how famous he is. You need a lawyer to make those.
I don't mean to be rude, but I have to be somewhat jealous with my time so I can focus on the cases in which people have decided to
hire me. We spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday, which I was very happy to do, and I am willing to do a short call with Jeffrey,
but I can't keep emailing about this. I have a limited amount of time, and I have to make sure that I am spending it as much as
possible on my current clients. I assure you that if you hire me and someone else wants to keep talking about their case while they're
deciding, I will tell them the same thing—that they have enough information to make a decision and just need to decide.
Tell Jeffrey we may have to play phone tag, since my weekend schedule is a little up in the air. So he will need to leave me his
number. I think 11 a.m. Eastern should work as a start if it works for him.

what number should he call you on? And a good time? ENV when he calls, it says no caller ID on the phone.. (or I could give you his office number) I received
similar advice this morning from a former trial lawyer who was also on the board at the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists with me.. He was the one who yesterday
urged me to seek legal advice. but today he called to say I should get advice and assistance. but from his experience beingi-ig a lawyer to represent me to these
offices is a kffier. that indicating that I am not gUlty and am wiling to work with the offices (with advice and assistance from a good lawyer in the background) is
better.

So. I wanted to know your thoughts about this. I assume we could still do a retainer etc and have you assist in every way, including investigation etc..
Thoughts? Sorry to take so much of your time. but this is obviously important to me and I want to handle it very carefully.
And once again. lam happy to pay for your time responding to this email if you want. and talking to Jeffrey. if you want.

Hi Justin. I have a slightly unusual request. I have been advised through much of the BuzzFeed experience, both before and after,
by a friend, who is also somewhat infamous. His name is Jeffrey Epstein, and you may know who he is already. Bottom line is that
Jeffrey is not only friends with most of the famous people from finance, to business, to Hollywood, who have either been brought
down during #metoo and he also speaks regularly with people ranging from the awful white house people, who he is friends with, to
ken starr etc. He is concerned about exactly how we play this, as he thinks because of the variety and number of different things
being discussed in the media and online, that this will be considered beyond title IX. I should say that all indications I have thus far
do not suggest this. But anyway, Jeffrey would like to speak with you, as he has concerns about my having counsel who directly
represent me in interactions with the University at this time vs having someone to act as an advisor and draft letters that I can
send... I will pay for your time to do that if necessary. Would you be willing to do this in the next day or so? Please let me know,
and I can get you contact info. Thanks.

HI. great talking today. Whatever happens, I really like you. :)
anyway, address is
I should add that I have a condo in Phoenix and for the moment that is my tax residence since that is where my ASU income is. I
am also incorporated with a company which uses that address as well. Primordial Productions MC
It doesn't
really matter of course as some company mail comes here as well.. I may pay you out of that company if it goes ahead, but you
can advise on
that as well..
Thanks again for the great conversation, and the generous time you devoted to it. Made me feel much better.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Sony it has taken me awhile to reply. Your note lifted what was a bad day. How
could I not want to talk to a lawyer who read the Physics of Star Trek! In any case, my cell phone is 2169703496, and as I
am on paid vacation from ASU my schedule is relatively flexible.:) I actually live in Oregon and commute to ASU, so am
on pacific time.
I look forward to talking to you.

Thank you for reaching out. I read The Physics ofStar Da when it came out and have never forgotten, among other
things, your unfortunately depressing analysis that so much data would be involved in transporter technology that it would
never be possible. (If memory serves, you talked about how many books it would take to contain the data and analyzed it
in terms of trips to the moon and back.) I am very sorry to hear about what you've been going through but would be
happy to speak with you about how we might be able to help; I actually have a case going at ASU right now, and I
represent, at another school, another professor who has been similarly pilloried in an unfortunately high-profile manner. I
will be tied up on calls tonight but am generally available tomorrow, so please let me know what would work for you.
Thanks, and have a good night.

Hello. I am a Professor at Arizona State University, and also director of its Origins Project. In addition, I am relatively
well known to the public. I write NYT bestselling books, appear on television and films, write for the NYT and New
Yorker etc.. I am also one of the more well known atheist and skeptic speakers around the world. That celebrity status has
made me a target of numerous online defamation campaigns in the past. On
