The narrow ledge gives more isle room to walk which is pro. but the narrow ledge also brings the seat close to the window and your head closer to the airframe,. it is nice to have a 2" or 3" ledge to rest your arm along with the seat arm rest, etc, compared to the 1" wide body ledge, just some thoughts, these might be a good medium ledge width,.
