Subject: Call from OPR
I've just spoken with at OPR, regarding the request for investigation submitted by
She is in the preliminary stages of determining whether the matter should be opened into an
investigation. To assist her in this process, she asked if we could produce the following:
(1) documents such as memos or e-mails which show the decisional process for determining whether this
Office should enter into the Non-Prosecution Agreement with Epstein. This would include opposing views
within the office, as well as supporting views; and
(2) documents showing whether the FBI was, or was not, made aware of the negotiations with Epstein
regarding the Non-Prosecution Agreement. =claims the FBI was kept completely out of the process.
Can you canvass your files and find out whether responsive documents exist? Thanks.
