I spoke with Michelle Harrington, an attorney w/ the NY Office of Sexual Offender Management. She said NY does not have
the 7-day rule that feds do, NY has not adopted the Adam Walsh Act, and the only obligations JE has to NY would be those
imposed by the state. She told me that she could not give me a definitive answer w/o JE's name, so I supplied it. She then told
me that he was not required to do anything if he was simply traveling for 10 days & not changing residence, unless he is going
to be using an intemet account or intemet identifiers other than the ones he has registered with them. If so, he can send the
info to them in writing, signed by him. She stressed that it would still be a violation of fed law if JE does not comply w/ the 7-
day requirement. Will call Baldwin next.
