Also present for this interview was HATT's attorneys David Schertler and Paola Pinto. After being advised of the identity of the above listed individuals and the nature of the interview, HATT provided the following information: HATT is qualified as an English barrister. He used to work for a very old company called "Cable & Wireless PLC". There was no United Kingdom (UK) presence when he joined. HATT was 27 years old and was sent there to kick start the company. It was on the London stock exchange. He would travel to different islands such as the Caymans, Trinidad and Maldives. LORD DAVID YOUNG was the new chairman of Alcatel in USSR. In 1988 HATT was packed off to Moscow. His job was to ride around and find ways of creating businesses. He was to give the UK ideas on how the USSR operated. In 1992-1993 they started privatization of the company. There was one in Latvia. The project was under the European Union. JOHN WILLIAM MANCONY, who is Canadian, lived in London at the time, was an agent of Alcatel. He is now about 75-76 years old and lives in Switzerland. In 1993 HATT went to his house in Chelsea and he introduced HATT to KEVIN MAXWELL (KEVIN) and GHISLAINE MAXWELL (MAXWELL). KEVIN inherited from his father connections of USSR & Russia. The UK government agreed to meet. GRIGORY LUCHANSKY owned a company called Novex in Vienna. LUCHANSKY needed 2 money flows. Software house rigor. GARY had to be removed because the company was to end in the United States and he could not be a shareholder. Novex needed to have the money come from them, straight out of Alcatel. Money needed to appear from 2 places. They were to utilize the services of a man (JEFFREY EPSTEIN) out of New York who KEVIN had known for a number of years. The money would come back into Europe. GARY said that unless the issue could be resolved there would be no transaction in Latvia at all. They had trusted EPSTEIN with money transactions. LUCHANSKY was a very cautious man. They needed KEVIN to convince him to go to work. KEVIN had been instructed to meet EPSTEIN by his father ROBERT MAXWELL. His father never met EPSTEIN. EPSTEIN was someone that KEVIN's father trusted in his realm. ROBERT MAXWELL's connections with Israel he knew from KEVIN. ROBERT MAXWELL stole pensions and this was written about. KEVIN went through a great trial between 1995-1996 which was written about. Over the next 3 years HATT met KEVIN a lot. KEVIN and the UK government were very interested in LUCHANSKY. UK authorities believed that ROBERT MAXWELL and KEVIN had hidden a great deal of money somewhere in the world (possibly Bulgaria, Russia or satellite states). Petersburg was a long distance PLO telecom. They would put all assets in a Russia based company. In 1996 HATT moves to New York. HATT meets MAXWELL around 1993-1994 in New York. It was a very money driven meeting. HATT never meets her at his home. HATT lives on MAXWELL lived a little bit further down. HATT's office was at-. They would meet at bars, cafes and restaurants on the upper east side of New York. KEVIN would like to tease. MAXWELL would make passes at HATT. KEVIN would sit there and smile and just watch to see what HATT would do. LUCY KLEIN (KLEIN) would be there as well. She was sort of involved with KEVIN and lived with MAXWELL. This was around 1996. KEVIN explained to LUCHANSKY and HATT that one reason LUCHANSKY trusted what KEVIN was doing. KEVIN was responsible for placing MAXWELL's office near EPSTEIN after ROBERT MAXWELL's death. So much money with EPSTEIN came from the New York Daily News. Had to oversee it be managed and distribute to family members. Had a mother who lived in France. They had no bank accounts and no access to money. KEVIN and IAN MAXWELL were declared bankrupt after ROBERT MAXWELL died. All kinds of freezing orders. Had to find ways to get money EPSTEIN had held. HATT mentioned a name MALCOLM GUMBRIDGE. KEVIN didn't trust phones; he thought they were bugged. KEVIN needed money and LUCHANSKY was going to pay him for putting this together. MAXWELL's role was to be given instructions and return. It would be a 30 min, 45 min or 1-hour meeting and then she would go back home in the same day. HATT states that Alcatel agreed with KEVIN and would send money. There was a bifurcation of funds to Latvia. It would move through the EPSTEIN network then back to New York then to the accounts in Latvia. Money that was to be acknowledged was not the nordex money. HATT states he was present for money talk. KEVIN would ask HATT to leave so KEVIN and MAXWELL would discuss whatever they need to. Most meetings took place in MAXWELL's apartment in London. KEVIN said that ROBERT MAXWELL bought the apartment for KEVIN and his siblings. The apartment was in MAXWELL's name. HATT made a great deal in 1994 with Solomon Brothers international and the chairman Lord Young. In 1996 there were meetings in New York with Kevin after his trial. Only with KEVIN present did MAXWELL have meetings. MAXWELL was outrageously flirty with HATT. She drank alcohol and seemed quite high on cocaine at the time. Her eyes were pinpricks. KEVIN and MAXWELL did drugs and alcohol. The goal was maintaining access to LUCHANSKY for other deals. The meetings were always on the upper east side which HATT presumed were places that KEVIN choose. In 1998 KEVIN had a company in New York call "Telemund". KEVIN would stay with MAXWELL when he came to New York. KEVIN started to move a great deal of money out of the EPSTEIN world and into his own. HATT thinks that MAXWELL came to his office with KEVIN. LUCHANSKY was the roof for HATT's mobile business. It was partly KEVIN and MAXWELL present for the meetings and HATT would show up for dessert. HATT stated there is only so much LUCHANSKY you can talk about. MAXWELL would make HATT offers; it would happen several times. The first was September of 1995 when HATT was in New York for 2 days. Prior to this they had only met in London. HATT was at lunch with MAXWELL on the upper east side with KEVIN. They were high and drunk. There was another woman named LUCY CLIVE there. They hit on HATT. CLIVE touched his leg and invites him to her house but he declines. MAXWELL says that she is willing to set HATT up with men, women, boys and girls. Whatever or however many he wanted. MAXWELL would recite it as though it was a menu. MAXWELL was completely serious. HATT would laugh and brush it off and use it as a path to exit. HATT was in care at 13 years old and knew a great deal as a sexually abused boy. In the 1990's in New York and London there were Russian girls and boys that moved into cities all the time. HATT knew in 1989 that Russian girls were sold. In New York a man died in 2002 by the name of STEINBACH who was Swedish. He lived on Long Island and owned a media company called Modern Times. HATT met him in New York to discuss Telly2, a phone company. He admitted that Modern Times had kept Russian girls. According to KEVIN, KEVIN introduced MAXWELL to EPSTEIN. In late 2003 he told LUCHANSKY. This required KEVIN to divulge how he related to all the people in the chain. LUCHANSKY could be incredibly pleasant and deeply intelligent but could also be terrifying. LUCHANSKY had comfort with oversight by MAXWELL. The last time HATT met with MAXWELL was in the early 20O0's. MAXWELL was with KEVIN. The last time that HATT saw KEVIN was about 3 years ago. KEVIN works out of a club at The club is called IIII KEVIN mentions LEAH SAFFIAN who is part of his legal team from 1995-1996. KEVIN wants HATT to meet SAFFIAN in California. Later on HATT knows of SAFFIAN from a photo taken of MAXWELL at the In-and-Out Burger. KEVIN wanted HATT to assist in disposal of assets in Nigeria. HATT's last interaction with MAXWELL was with KEVIN. They got food together. KEVIN bought and sold fiber optic cables in bulk and was trying to offload them. MAXWELL was quiet and it was a short meeting. After 1996 KEVIN came to New York a lot. HATT saw MAXWELL and KEVIN almost every time he came to New York. HATT flew commercially and private. The company "Cable and Wireless PLC" used LUCHANSKY a lot. On one occasion LUCHANSKY goes to the United States and meets BILL CLINTON. KEVIN organized certain things with this meeting through MAXWELL. The then Duchess SARAH FERGUSON organized a polo match for LUCHANSKY and his daughter which PRINCE CHARLES attended. MAXWELL organized another meeting for LUCHANSKY and BILL CLINTON which never happened. MAXWELL took LUCHANSKY to Wall Street. KEVIN is dominant in his relationship with MAXWELL. KEVIN sits at the head of the family. MAXWELL's law firm is Cohen and Gresser which is who KEVIN used in Russia and Nigeria.
