Hello
As you know, this week French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister David
Cameron hosted a summit in Paris, which was attended by sixty countries and ended up more
of a celebration and a photo opportunity, than its stated goal of helping the TNC start the
process of building democratic Libyan institutions, from political parties to a police force and
a free press. But the real reason for the summit, was to enable French, UK and to a lesser
extent, American and other NATO countries (companies) gain 'favorite status' access to the
more than $300 to $500 billion in contracts that will be awarded over the next seven years
while the TNC embarks on rebuilding their country and jump starting the economy.
Attached please find several articles to give you background on the summit, if you haven't
been following it.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or would like additional information.
Sincerely,
Greg Brown
