Today's Tasks.
• Today we planted eight red haliconias at the entrance next to the steps where the bikes
are washed and parked.
• Around the bedroom, we planted Nine White Ruelia in the shaded area around the palm
tree. (The white Ruelias are new to me however they always flower and can grow in both
shaded areas and the direct sunlight).
-I left some yellow variegated ginger for Jason to plant tomorrow.
-I also have a few more plants I would like to get to place in there.
• Around the circle, on the hill side contains very little top soil, on top of solid rock. In
order to plant the bougainvillea's the rocks needs to be dug, maybe in a trench like
fashion. Place some top soil in the area, and then plant the bougainvillea along with
installing the irrigation system immediately.
• We placed some yellow Ixora on the wall along with some miniature Oleanders. Mr.
Epstein can choose one if he wishes then we can plant some plant on top of the wall at
the entrance. (red ixora's are an option as well) Jason can make a count just how I placed
the few and have the variety selected come in with the shipment.
• I am a bit reluctant to order plants from Kent because I'm still not too sure what the boss
likes. Meaning color, size of plants etc. those he ticked are just a limited number of
plants.
In my professional opinion a serious plant problems does not exist on the islands. The
plants that are struggling are due to lack of water or a limited amount of top soil in certain
areas. The idea that Mr. Epstein is open to change is good because you are able to try
different varieties.
I bought some fertilizer that can be used around blooming plants. Jason can use some and
in the future I believe careful fertilizer selection is needed before ordering.
