If I were employed by JSC temporarily I would have to wait around 2 weeks for the school to process it and issue me with a new I-20 document. This document is necessary for re-entry into the country. I filled in all the documents for Bella which she has to submit (I believe within 3 days of hiring me but I could be wrong) if she did it today, it could possibly be backtracked to Friday as a start date, which would end up saving me 5 days. Saving days is hugely beneficial for me now as I stand to lose my OPT by next Friday if I am not employed. I have worked so very hard to get it, and gave all of myself for two years for it, and it is my dream and hope to use it and gain the experience I have worked towards.Two temporary positions didn't come through so it has been a bit up and down, thinking I have something and then losing it. From speaking to fellow students it seems like the lay of the land is extremely competitive, with the four big design schools pumping fresh graduates into the industry every semester. A guy I know who is good and American landed his first role last week. What is interesting is I am allowed to do volunteer work, not only for institutions but also for individuals and private businesses. I wouldn't go to as my sister and my niece are preparing to head back to (maybe via Europe with her mother-in-law). Once she has left my mom will asparing star to head north for part of November, December and January. I would love to visit my niece in once my I-20 is through. This all being said, I need to do a minimum of 21 hours of work a week (which is nothing), so I would have to see if I am allowed to do that for you from . Otherwise I would need to work out a schedule between the two.
