Many thanks. ********** Deutsche Bank is once again the lead corporate sponsor for this year's Opening Night Gala at the Metropolitan Opera on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 6:15 pm. This year's Opening Night will feature the production Le Nozze di Figaro with Music Director James Levine conducting a new production of Mozart's eternal masterpiece, directed by Sir Richard Eyre, who sets the action in an 18th -century manor house in Seville, during the gilded age of the late 1920s. Ildar Abdrazakov as Figaro leads a dazzling cast, including Marlis Petersen, Peter Mattei, Marina Poplayskaya, and Isabel Leonard. The evening's schedule is as follows (all times are approximate): 4:45 pm Red Carpet Arrival 5:15 pm Committee Cocktail Reception (Balcony Level) 6:10 pm Must be in your seat 6:15 pm Performance (please note that you must be in your seats by 6:10 pm) 9:45 pm Post-performance Gala Cast Supper (Tent in Damrosch Park adjacent to the Met) The festivities will begin at 5:15 pm with an exclusive cocktail reception on the Grand Tier prior to the performance at 6:15 pm. Immediately following the performance is a gala dinner with the cast at approximately 9:45 pm.
