Good Morning.
With regard to the barge, 3 weeks is the expected time needed for the exhaust work, the rub rail installation, and
also inspect and address rudder alignment along with propeller inspections. There is also a list of general
maintenance items Boscoe has that can be attended to while out of the water for that 3 weeks.
With regard to the scope of electrical work to be done there are two items on LSJ that will be done with a
combination of in house labor and local contractors. They would be the duc bank from the generator building to
the sea water intake building that will include the new fiber for the desal system and the repair of the 5 palms
electric and fiber feeds due to your request that the work be done as soon as possible.
The material for the duc bank is on island and the material list for 5 palms is going out today for pricing. I was
going to have LSJ purchase all the material and have a local contractor install for which I am going to get two
prices.
The only area where the amount of potential work is likely to interest a stateside company would be GSJ.
The issue with getting bids at this point is any scope of work that may be put into a list is simply an idea with no
engineering or design to base an actual bid on.
Before you can issue a scope of work to be bid on there needs to be a considerable amount of time and money
spent with an engineering and design firm to produce drawings and/or designs, on paper, that contractors can
then put a dollar figure to.
I reached out to Springline for this specific purpose and they declined ,as have Jaredian Design.
A stateside contractor may be interested in doing design-build and maybe that would be a path to explore but I
do not have any connection with a company of that type.
