G4G14 and G4G15 The 14th Gathering 4 Gardner conference (G4G14) will be held from Wednesday to Sunday, March 25 - 29, 2020, at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta, Georgia. The demand for G4G13 last April exceeded capacity (325 attendees), spurred by two new innovations: three plenary speakers (Erna Rubik Doris Schattschneider and Manjul Bhargava) who each gave two different presentations, one offsite as special outreach to the general public and one at the Ritz-Carlton to G4G attendees, and a new offsite day in hip Decatur Georgia, which was open to local people of all ages and included events for children. As a result, the G4G Board has decided to enlarge G4G14 next March to 400 people, and plans to have more events open to the public so that more people will get to experience the unique form of excitement and intrigue that permeates these Gatherings. In the following two videos, G4G attendees (new attendees, long time attendees, and those in between) describe the Gathering and why they find it special. • About Gathering 4 Gardner • G4G12 Highlights Reel At G4G14, there will be three days of presentations at the Ritz Carlton Atlanta hotel, two social events one with close-up magic and stage shows, an offsite event on Saturday, March 28, 2020 with activities in Decatur open to the public, and many other fun innovations. Online registration will open in the fall of 2019. We will be updating information about G4G14 on our website. G4G14 Information EFTA01033364 The board is actively looking at the possibility of hosting G4G15 in the spring of 2022 on the west coast of the United States. Recent Events G4G Publications: Update On the 28th of February and March 1, 2019 several members of the board of directors of the Gathering 4 Gardner Foundation took part in the celebration of Martin Gardner's Legacy: One Oklahoman's Imprint on Math, Magic, and Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, OK, including an evening public lecture by Erik Demaine at OU's Sam Noble Museum of Natural History. People from all around the world met at the National Museum of Natural History and Science to mingle and exchange ideas.
