Just realized today truly is the first day of the rest of my life. I woke up at 5 minutes to 8, threw on shorts and took the kids to school, went and got a coffee, checked my sked while waiting expecting to see a day filled with some stuff that I was going to be late for etc. You know what's on my sked not a damn thing. So now here I sit, which I've never done, having coffee in my shorts, sandals and tshirt on a monday morning. "Usually" I'd be in my car racing off somewhere. Max, although a family memeber, and nepotism considerations aside, did take the mantle at 10 this morning. We are very sympathetic to the mitigating circumstances you have - hangover/sleepless night/broken phone/lost phone/inability to speak, earthquake, aliens invading your home, but feel that we need to allow nepotism to rule. PPPPS The child is a 2nd sprog. It is a case of too much time and money. The Mum is actually a sharp, funny, smart girl - she was one of the youngest prosecutors in the DA office, a TV anchor for ABC and then lifetime for legal issues + she had her own column in a newspaper for legal questions. I found all this to be even more impressive as she comes from one of those major families which do not tend to produce girls w/drive.
