Subject: Evaluations of our proposal
Hi Jeffrey...
I trust you're doing well ;-)
FYI, I have finally collected 3 evaluations of our proposal from leading AI
academics.
A fourth person indicated they would write one, but didn't get it to me yet.
I'll wait a few more days to see if they come through, and if not I'll send you
the batch of 3 I have mid next week. (If so then I'll send the 4 next week.)
... It seems better to send them to you all at once rather than piecemeal.
Sorry for the delay, but we didn't finish polishing the proposal till the start
of December, and it seems academics are too busy to deal with extra tasks during
December, so no one wrote us an evaluation till January...
I'm making nice progress on the book, though it's a huge job. Right now I'm in
China again (travel & housing here paid by a Chinese NSF grant), working on the
book and also working with some grad students here who are trying to use our
OpenCog code to control a humanoid robot.... I get back home on the night of the
28th.... If the evaluations strike you positively perhaps we can get together in
early February sometime, your schedule permitting...
