I have been reading =our Teaching Minds over the past month and think it is terrific. = left academia (perhaps "left" isn't quite =ight!) in 2011, and started working with at- risk youth, primarily in =lternative education schools, applying insights from cognitive science, =s well as develop tools for collecting evidence. I started a =ompany in 2013, Risk-Eraser, and am now working with about 75 schools. = have developed a number of very interesting interventions, as well as =ovel course material to teach critical thinking. The latter is very =uch in the spirit of your stories and making it meaningful to them. =his couldn't be more important in the world of special =ducation, where most of the teaching is quite dreadful... .and =his in MA, which is the best in the country.
