(4/28) three events in DC (4/30) - three dates in LA and three dates in SF will be announced soon. *All events are large receptions 150-300 people in private homes, all will include a 50 person clutch with photo line beforehand.* **the finance team also told me they will be doing a ton of grassroots fundraisers in cities across the country where tickets are $20- if people are going to start writing up the big fancier ones it could be helpful to get these events out there as well. *Recommendation:* Establish 2 types of fundraising events, small (under 60 people) which will be closed to press and phones can be taken. Large events where phones will not be taken and we will have a print pooler. In addition to increasing access, an added benefit of having a pooler there is that donors will leak some of what HRC says to the press anyway, and it will likely be inaccurate. Below is a rundown of what others have been doing on press access at fundraisers. There have been no public reports about cell phones being confiscated so either it isn’t happening or donors aren’t leaking (my guess is the former). I have some concerns about collecting everyone’s phones at a 200+ person event.
