From: jeffrey E. <[email protected]> Sent: Frida A ril 20, 2018 7:33 PM To: Dear Richard, It was a pleasure speaking with you this morning. Per our discussion, we are actively looking for top works of art for =he forthcoming April 18thq=up> sale here in NY. We already have fantastic lots coming up, includin= some major Egyptian works, plus a large group of Greek vases. As fo= marbles, I have not seen much, although we do have a very fine Roman marb=e torso. Our recent sales indicate that the market is super-heated a=d the demand for "masterpiece" level objects is at an all-=ime high, and not just with traditional collectors of ancient art. W= are seeing buying from across the globe, including Latin America, the Gul= and now China as well. The deadline for inclusion in the April sale=is mid- to late-February. In terms of the estimates, my suggestions=as follows: Herakles $1,500,000/2,600,000 =div style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001ptfont-size:0.9166666865348816rem;font-=amily:Calibri,sans-serif">Two Boys $600,000/800,000 As mentio=ed previously provenance has become a key factor for success at auction.=C2* We know both the Herakles and the two boys come from the Estate of l=n Mitchell, and additionally that the boys were acquired by him from Falla=i, who has confirmed this with us. Thanks to the former curator of G=eek and Roman at the MET, we have sufficient information that confirms bot= pieces have sufficient provenance to fulfill Christie's requireme=ts. If there is a way to find out if Mitchell acquired the Herakles =rior to 1970, its salability would increase dramatically. My estima=es are not etched in stone so I would be happy to discuss further if the n=mbers do not meet expectations. =u> Please do not hesitate to let me kn=w if you have any questions or concerns, and I look forward to hearing fro= you soon. =C244, please note The information contained in this communication =s confidential, may be attorney-client privileged, may constitute in=ide information, and is intended only for the use of the addressee.
