You will be staying with the Araya Guerrero family; Soledad is a housewife. Her husband Arcadio works in the petrol station. They have one son called Juan Jose. They also have 2 dogs who stay outside, 1 parakeet and one parrot. Food is provided three times a day and laundry is included once a week. Recommended that you bring a mosquito net: While staying at the house it probably won't be necessary. However it is recommended that volunteers have their own mosquito net anyway, as this will be useful when travelling the country. Distance to project: Depends on the construction project. You are no more than 10km away. i-to-i office: approximately 50 km from homestay Payment arrangements: Pay Habitat $270 per month (80% of that amount goes to the family and 20% goes to the foundation). You should pay this money directly to Habitat, so look for the office corresponding to your project. Start counting the month the first day you arrive at the family. Any additional days are charged at $12.
