In our final breakfast presentation of 2016, Mr. Jeffrey S. Sabin will
provide a thorough overview of the issues and strategies managers face when their funds
experience financial distress.
A partner in Venable's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group and Fellow of the
American College of Bankruptcy, Mr. Sabin has over 35 years of experience in creditors'
rights, bankruptcy, debt restructuring and financial transactions involving financially
distressed entities in the U.S. and globally. He has represented public companies, lenders,
committees of secured and unsecured creditors, boards of directors, investors, and
acquirers in Chapter 11 and 15 cases and out-of-court restructurings.
Mr. Sabin has chaired and taught numerous legal education and professional programs
and is the author of many published articles and outlines on bankruptcy-related topics. He
is also a former chair of the New York City Bar Association's Subcommittee on
Fraudulent Conveyance Law. Mr. Sabin is a graduate of Cornell University and Boston
College Law School.

Best Investigative Practices: Ethical Considerations - This one hour presentation
emphasizes the ethical considerations attorneys should keep in mind while conducting or
managing an investigation. Topics include client confidentiality, evidence collection,
chain of custody and other evidentiary matters, as well as new issues arising as a result of
the proliferation of social media. One half (0.5) NY State CLE credit in Ethics and
Professionalism and one hall (0.5) NY State CLE credit in Areas of Professional Practice.

abroad. IMG conducts inquiries that include federal criminal records, civil litigation,
employment history, UCC filings and warrants, real and personal property holdings, all
corporate and business affiliations, regulatory searches in relevant industries, United
States Tax Court records, and a full media search, including relevant trade and business
media.
SECURITY/EXECUTIVE PROTECTION - IMG provides secure transportation and
security for your employees or family during international or domestic travel. IMG
personnel conduct reconnaissance in the areas of the particular visit, which could include
preparing primary and alternate driving routes, identifying safe locations, medical
facilities and centers of law enforcement and liaising with other representatives, security
