I suggest on the 6, you give boscoe the option of reduced pay to 30k per year, or to be released .

Subject: Barge work
Hi Rich
This barge refit has issues. There are items on the list that will cost more than the
original estimate will cover.
I have already gone into sorting out the individual job items and segregated the
labor hours, to date, on each.
Meeting this morning, SBDD and I have adjusted hourly rates and material
costs but, we are not done with the job and I need to know how
you want me to proceed with recording the additional costs and
work needed to complete the tasks.
The big difference is unforeseen damage and extra labor time expended removing
heavily corroded parts and additional wear to the ramp that needed
attention. We also have alignment issues with the motors that must
be fixed. Also found were two cracked support struts. The steering
system is a mess and is being sorted out as I compose this.
Any wiggle room that WAS in the estimate, is long gone now.
When I met with Gene this morning the labor cost, to date, was $17,325..
We got that figure down to $11,250 and a price reduction on the aluminum plate
from $2240 per sheet to $2000 per sheet. (two used)
I am going back to each job now to try to get a handle on how much more money
and how much more time it's gonna take to finish. I will do nothing
more than is absolutely necessary regarding these repairs. Please
advise, as I have no idea what You will need to see.
Thank you
