-- Host discusses the concern that the GOP is going to end up being in a
world that has left it behind if it doesn’t adjust its social values. Says
that right now, given the climate of the party, conservative gays and
Hispanics are going to vote for HRC. There is a huge problem for
Republicans that the people that support Donald Trump and Ted Cruz prevent
the party from modernizing. Says that when Bill Clinton came along,
Democrats were able to change the way they were viewed. Laments the fact
that both parties are becoming more extreme and says HRC is turning into
Bernie Sanders. Squawk Box

-- Coverage of a new poll which says HRC is viewed favorably by 52% of
Americans, up from 45% in May. Also says that 45% view her unfavorably,
down from 49% in May. Shows nearly 59% would vote for HRC in the primary.
Another poll shows what would happen if Biden entered the race, noting that
13% say they would vote for him and 43% of Democrats say they are likely to
switch support if Biden runs. Mika says she people don’t think Biden will
run. Howard Dean comments that HRC’s campaign has been taking the slow and
steady. Says she is echoing the same themes as Bernie and Elizabeth Warren
and her very first meetings in Iowa were about wages and immigration
reform. Says HRC may have driven the media crazy, but she didn’t let the
press hijack her message, she just kept steadily on her message which works
for her. Says she is determined to run her campaign the way she thinks she
should, not the way anyone else does, and Dean thinks that’s a smart thing
for her to do. Morning Joe

-- Report on WSJ story from this morning which said that Wall Street has
been opening its wallet for Jeb Bush and HRC. Says that Jeb Bush has
received considerable contributions from Goldman Sachs and 7 other big
banks and HRC has received 300,000 from employees at the nation’s 6 largest
banks. Anthony Scaramucci says that we will continue to see an overwhelming
amount of money going to both candidates. Scaramucci, who admits to being
with Scott Walker, says that the money doesn’t matter as much as the ideas.
Dagen McDowell says it will be interesting to watch HRC because she has not
gone as far as Bernie when talking about regulating Wall Street and the
money keeps going to her. Maria Bartiromo says that while HRC is receiving
this money, she said in her last speech that she is going to hit Wall
Street with more rules. Scaramucci says HRC is saying things but the public
doesn’t believe her because she’s railing on Wall Street right now because
of where Bernie is, but she won’t stick with that position. McDowell asks
if the primary voter will be bothered by that enough to not vote for her,
but Scaramucci says no, she will get the nomination. Mornings with Maria

says that HRC went after Uber in her economic agenda speech. Says HRC

are turning reactionary against innovation. Mornings with Maria Bartiromo

Says she went further because she wants all kids taken care of from birth
through age 4. Says that is more than universal pre-k. Guest says HRC is
going very far left in the primary but you might see her go further to the
center to win the general election. Varney says HRC staked out a leftist
position and she specifically said 0-4 year old pre-k. Says it’s difficult
to take this back. Says she knows it’ll be spun to say Republicans don’t
want kids to go to pre-k. Varney & Company

-- Martha MacCallum comments on FEC reports. Notes that HRC raised $45
million and spent more than $18 million. Monica Crowley joins the show and
says Trump is gaining traction because he is very rich and, since Obama has
been in office, the left has waged war on success and achievement and
wealth. Says this country has always been an aspirational country and
demonizing the rich goes against our culture and says Trump is unapologetic
about his wealth. Doug Shoen says the principle concern people have today
is income inequality and Trump is voicing some concerns that the American
people have about the game being rigged, such as immigration, but doesn’t
think Trump will be elected. MacCallum says the Republicans need to pick
someone who will win and new poll doesn’t show Trump doing well against
HRC. Shoen says that while HRC may have had some slippage recently, she is
the acknowledged front-runner and her cash haul was respectable. MacCallum
reports that HRC raised over $45 million but has already spent 40% of that.
Shows poll saying that 66% of people don’t think the word honest describes
HRC while 31% believe the word describes her somewhat well. Shoen says when
HRC has such a diverse field on the Republican side, she is at an advantage
because she has so far avoided getting into the fray. America’s Newsroom

-- Report of HRC holding a town hall with voters in New Hampshire and then
stumping at a grassroots organizing event. Says that the trip comes at an
important time for the campaign after finance report was released yesterday
saying that while she is bringing in big money, she is significantly
lagging among small, grassroots donors. Paul Steinhauser joins from New
Hampshire to comment on Bernie Sanders’ increase in popularity. Says that
one of the things Sanders has done is consolidate Elizabeth Warren voters,
those voters who are not too crazy about HRC. Says HRC still leads in polls
and money, but Bernie Sanders leads in enthusiasm. Steinhauser says the
Clinton campaign was going to grow to large town halls regardless of what
Bernie Sanders is doing. The Rundown with Jose Diaz-Balart

-- Coverage of HRC’s profit sharing plan roll-out. Ed Conard says what this
is meant to do is connect the success of the 1% with the stagnant wages of
the middle class, when in fact there are very different forces at work.
Trish Regan says HRC is in a tough spot because Bernie Sanders is moving
increasingly to the left and is generating enthusiasm among her base. Richard
Fowler says Bernie has been the rising star over the last few months and
the plan HRC is rolling out is another way for her to say she is a champion
for the middle class. Fowler disagrees and says the idea of companies
sharing their wages with workers is a good incentive for workers. Conard
says the supply of labor is going to drive the price of labor, so we cannot
legislate wage increases without job decreases. The Intelligence Report

-- Report on new poll numbers about HRC’s favorability rating. Shows AP-GFK
poll which says 39% have a favorable rating of HRC and 49% unfavorable
while an ABC-Washington Post poll shows 52% favorable and 45% unfavorable.
Larry Sabato joins to discuss poll results. He says don’t trust early
polling and says regardless of the numbers, HRC has looked defensive,
sheltered by her campaign and unwilling to engage, and over time that will
have an impact along with controversies surrounding her. Host says HRC has
a higher unfavorability than Obama right now. Says Obama’s favorability
numbers next year are going to be very important. Says HRC is following
WJC’s untrustworthy/honesty low ratings in 1992. Host says HRC’s
unfavorability has increased in the last three months. Sabato says things
like roping off the press show that HRC campaign staff is making a lot of
mistakes, but HRC is nearly guaranteed the nomination. Sabato says HRC’s
attempt to seem relatable by going to Chipotle and taking the van were
ineffective and the storyline that came out of that was she was being kept
from real voters because the people she met with were essentially
prescreened. Says if you are going to run for president, you take chances
every day. Says most of the candidates are going out and meeting with
voters who they have no idea what they are going to say, they take
questions from the press almost daily, and that is what they are expected
to do. Happening Now

of $45 million. Says as far as her poll numbers go, they will go up and

recognition and a lot of people already know how they feel about her. Says

says HRC has made criminal justice reform a big part of her campaign this

Crumpton joins the show and notes that Sheryl Sandberg told Bloomberg in
April that she would like to see HRC as president. Says these donors are
not surprising since Hollywood and Silicon Valley tend to go Democrat. Host
says this is good evidence for Republicans who say HRC is out of touch with
the general public and mixes among the elites. Bloomberg Markets

-- Report on Univision poll of Hispanic voters. Bipartisan poll of 1,400
registered Hispanic voters. Said that if the election were held today, HRC
would win with 64% of the vote, with Jeb Bush being the runner-up with 27%
of the vote. If the Republican primary were held today, Bush would win with
40% of the vote, followed by Rubio with 22% and Cruz with 8%.
“Interestingly,” 68% of those polled didn’t care if a candidate speaks
Spanish. Asked about Donald Trump’s comments on Mexican immigrants, “their
rejection was overwhelming.” Showed a clip of Trump’s comments in his
launch speech and says that those comments are “still fresh in the memories
of many Hispanic voters”--79% said his comments were offensive. Then cuts
to one of the people who conducted the poll that found that there was no
difference in the perception of those comments between Mexicans and
Hispanics of other nationalities in finding Trump’s comments offensive.
Shows Republican Florida Congressman Diaz-Balart who says that he
recognizes that Trump’s comments aren’t helping Republicans but that he’ll
never actually become the candidate. The poll showed that only 14% of
voters think that Trump’s comments represent the GOP’s beliefs, and 61%
believe it represents only Trump’s views. One of the Democratic analysts
still doesn’t think that it will be easy for Republicans to disassociate
themselves from Trump if he gets so much support in states. 74% of those
polled also supported corporate decisions to cut off relations with
Trump. Noticiero

immigrants deserve only one word: “Basta! Enough!” Trump then responded to
her on his Facebook page that she should focus on finding her lost emails
and that she know who will win the Republican primary, hence why she
doesn’t respond to Jeb Bush. Noticias Univision
