Your work throughout the entirety of this investigation certainly set an example for many others, both inside and outside of our agencies. Many forget that our (your) role is to serve others first, and that focus was certainly on display throughout. Your fidelity to victims, the tenacity and professionalism you displayed when dealing with some challenging issues and personalities, and your attention to detail which ultimately delivered justice for the victims, are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Bureau and the NYPO. I followed the trial daily, sometimes checking multiple times a day with Mike Osborne, Geoff Berman and others. It is hard to overstate what you all accomplished here. Awesome job. I've been Involved wen the CACHT Program for a long time and until NY got volved n this case. I'd never seen such an egregious miscarriage of justice. You'll remember how I often talked about how. unlike ocher Programs. child exploitation and HT cases provided a unque opportunity to speak for the vulnerable vicbms who didn1 have a voice. Your week. and yesterday's verdict was a complete endorsement of the victims and the pain they've endured. You worked patently and confidently and your work ensured the victims' voices will be heard forever. I firmly bebeve that victims across the country shed some tears and felt a sense of relief and affirmation last night knowng that Maxwell will now pay for her crimes. You may not hear from the victims directly. but I hope you'll credit yourselves with the understanding that you've changed their lives for the better. Way back in the beginning when I talked to= and to ensure this case was properly staffed and pecnbzed. there was no question that you both and your collective experience were the team that could hancle the inevitable challen es would face. We did face some significant issues that needed to be escalated to the highest levels and we're all lucky to have had the full support and confidence of ADICs and a and I assure you that. EM never doubted you. No statistical accomplishment will truly capture the gravity of your work.
