Subject: Documentary Interview Inquiry
Hello,
I am a producer with Radical Media working on a new documentary series about wealth
and power in America. Part of our program will focus on the case of Jeffrey Epstein.
I am writing you to request a representative who may be available to speak on camera
regarding Mr. Epstein's relationship to your organization. Our mission is to paint as
complete a picture of our subject as possible. It has been reported that Mr. Epstein
serves as a board member of your council and we'd greatly value a voice that could
speak on Mr. Epstein's charitable work and contributions.
Here's some background about who we are: RadicalMedia is an Oscar, Emmy,
Grammy and Peabody Award-winning studio whose work includes the Oscar winning
documentary, The Fog of War, Oscar nominated and Emmy-winning film, What
Happened, Miss Simone? Additionally, the executive producer of this program is Joe
Berlinger. Joe has drawn attention to social justice issues in the U.S. and abroad in
landmark films such as: Brother's Keeper, a DGA Award-winner and his trilogy for HBO
titled Paradise Lost, about the West Memphis Three, (a group of teenage boys
sentenced to death and life imprisonment for crimes they didn't commit). The Paradise
Lost series is widely credited with helping to win the release of the wrongfully convicted
boys, and won both Emmy and Peabody Awards, and earned Berlinger an Academy
Award nomination.
I mention our credentials in part to assure you that we are going to treat this story with
the same dedication to ethical storytelling evident in our prior work.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you
and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
All the best,
Frank Ombres
