Subject: RE: Crate & Barrel fabric
A+ for effort - using more than two words in your sentence structure.
Below is confirmation:
End arms — treated (just enough to pass composite testing)
Divan Cushions (heavily treated to pass fireb locking)
Carry-on pieces — no treatment
They originally wanted 3 to 4 weeks to ship the material. Eileen is pushing to see if why so long? If it is due to shipping
costs, then we will override their protocol and have it sent Fed Ex. Once we know this, we can discuss scheduling.
PS. On a personal note, our youngest daughter Jillian is studying (partying) abroad in Barcelona. Adrianne, Rachel and I
are going to visit in March and we were contemplating spending 2 to 3 days in Morocco (Marrakesh) . Our Rabbi &
Cantor said "ahhh...not such a good idea." Our passports have Israel stamps, but we could always get secondary
passports.
I am not walking around with a yarmulke on, but as a Jew, what is your thoughts from a safety perspective?
Best Regards,
Eric

Good morning.
I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
Even though the Crate & Barrel is polyester, we are confident that we can treat it to pass the composite burn
test for the divan end arms and door faces.
I suggest not treating the carry on bed mattress as it will adversely affect the hand /softness.

The real question is the fire blocked divan cushions. If we heavily treat the fabric, it will likely pass the fire block
test, but heavy treatment will also affect the feel. Since you do not use these cushions that often, if you want to ever
use the divan for "sitting", then you may want to reupholster the divan cushions in the same crate and barrel fabric with
the heavy treatment.
Let me know your thoughts so that we may order the fabric...?
Best Regards,
Eric
