Bio:
Yaacov Anziska, M.D, M.S. is Assistant Professor in the department of Neurology at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center. He
directs the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Neuromuscular Clinic and also serves as the Assistant Residency
Director in Neurology. Dr. Anziska also has a strong interest in bringing new drugs and treatments from the lab into
clinical practice, as well as pursuing the latest genetic testing available in neuromuscular disease. Dr. Anziska treats 12-
15 SMA patients per month and is familiar treatments for SMA in Type 1, 2, and 3 patients including nusinersen.
