Listed below is the minimum estimated budget for the 2013-2014 academic year for one student at
Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts. This estimate is for full-time tuition and fees

Students who have relatives or friends in the New York City metropolitan area willing to provide free
room and board (housing, utilities, and food) must submit an Affidavit of Sponsor Providing Free Room
& Board in the New York City Metropolitan Area with supporting financial documentation.
Documentation showing that a student receives full room (housing) has a cash value of $16,344.00 for 12
months. These students or their sponsor must show an additional $7,308.00 in funds to cover Board,
Transportation, and Personal expenses.
Estimated expenses for your program should be calculated at an increase of approximately 4-6% for each
succeeding year.
Students bringing dependents (spouse or children 21 years old or younger) in F-2 or J-2 status must each year
show an added $5,000.00 to support the first dependent, and $4,000.00 for each additional dependent.
