He met with Professor Summers and would like to have him visit Mongolia=to discuss the economy and economic policy with key decision makers includ=ng the PM himself. The background to this is that the PM is facing a delicate balancing =ct. With the sharp decline in commodity prices Mongolia needs economic and=policy adjustment, but the politics of this is hard to navigate not least =ecause next year is an election year. I think he wants professor Summers to bring an independent, highly c=edible voice to the debate.
