One other thought. I feel the eastern =ide that faces St. John should sit on a stone base like a fortress, even i=
we have a lower floor. It will give the appropriate feel to the base of t=e building, which will sit on top. I will push it
further away from the po=l. I was just trying to reduce wall height. I will send a revised site pla= and elevations next

Jeffrey,
Attached =s the site plan that incorporates the new topographic information. It also=shows a slight revision in
the bathroom on the south side based upon our r=cent discussions. The bathroom will be at the same level as the pool
deck =nd we have pushed it back to reduce the height of the base wall. The talle=t wall we have now is 14 feet. We have
moved the entire building further w=st to accomplish this. Our design approach is to have the building sit on =n elevated
platform similar to a temple. The existing sculpture on the eas=ern end will be incorporated into the platform as well as
two other potent=al sculpture sites lining up with the palms. We have also looked at the po=sibility incorporating some
large urns at those locations in lieu of sculp=ures. On the western side, we have developed two planting areas with
palms=and shrubs to screen the pool visibly from the main part of the house. Thi= will require us having to remove the
existing stone seat. The eastern sid= will include a 12 feet wide terrace facing St. John. I feel we now have a=solution
that successfully merges the formality of the existing courtyard =nd pool area within the confines of the existing
topography.
