My plan is to fly the Boeing to AirOn= Maintenance in OpaLocka/Miami on Friday to start C check on Boeing 727, al=ng
with autopilot issues etc. Morrison and I are waiting for StanBaugh Avia=ion In Brunswick GA to quote this work to
compare, however, StanBaugh is un=ble to start on the Boeing until Mid February due to their current work loa=.
FlightStar and Timco in Jacksonville are to busy to quote this work and h=ve declined bidding on this work package.
AirOne has quoted $251,410.00 for work package of lower floor and remove= of AUX fuel tanks. There will be additional
companies involved in this pro=ess, Plane Perfect Interiors for interior window shade repairs, NAS Fuel Ta=ks in Orlando
will travel to Miami for AUX tank repairs and inspection, The= are the specialist in fuel tanks and where involved with
SFAR88 fuel tank A= we complied with a couple of years ago.
Air=ne has offered an attractive shop hourly rate of $45.00 per man hour,,,,com=ared to Gulfstreams $109.00 as
comparison.
T=ere will be additional costs during this inspection, to recap of some items=need addressing:
-# 3 Throttle is stiff, may r=quire engine removal to repair Thrust Bearing in Pylon as we accomplished i= London.
-Nose strut needs to be re-sealed, l=oses Nitrogen charge after 10 days of sitting.
-AUTOPILOT altitude selector on Captains side does not hold alt selected<=span> -symbol generator needs repair -
Forward airstairs need repair, -interior window shades need string repaired on several mechanical and e=ectric shades in
various areas of cabin.
-Morrison also informs that #2 Boeing=engine is due HPC turbine inspection, possible engine exchange or remove fr=m
aircraft and send for inspection, DUE in AUGUST 2013, will advise options=later this week.
