From: "William Murphy" To: "Jeffrey Epstein" <[email protected]> Subject: RE: i phone to intemet phone Date: Wed, 31 Mar 2010 13:39:25 +0000 Attachments: LSJ 2010-3-29.doc; FTC 2010-3-29.doc This is interesting stuff. I'm assuming the "denial of service" problem was most likely related to an overloaded web server after the NY Times article was published. Interested readers were no doubt curious and attempted to check out the site. We have been using a hosted VoIP solution for a year now and performance is decent most of the time. There are times when it can get shoddy and sections of the audio stream are missing. Pogue suggests experiencing similar behavior with a cell phone and I've definitely seen this with ATT service on the Blackberry. There are rumblings from our VoIP vendor and the NM guys about bandwidth being adjusted by service providers to negatively impact hosted solutions such as this. They don't have substantiated evidence, but thought you may want to know about it anyway. Technology that possess the potential to usurp the existing solution will face difficult times if they depend on the same service providers they intend to replace for infrastructure. Also, Steve Bisby from ETC sent us a the attached phone quote yesterday. I've asked him to break down the required line items into their respective cost. The options section on each quote is for cordless phones, extension modules and other items that are not required but was included in the event you wanted additional features and functionality. I'm also waiting on an estimate for time to complete both offices if we schedule them together. Let me know if there is additional information you would want so I can get that information to them and get one final revised quote. Hope all is well, WM From: Jeffrey Epstein [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, March 27, 2010 7:01 AM To: Darren Ind ke AOL • William Murphy; Story Cowles Cc: Subject: Re: i phone to internet phone http://www.newsopi.com/tech/line2-app/448/ On Sat, Mar 27, 2010 at 6:38 AM, Jeffrey Epstein [email protected]> wrote: EFTA00761889 http://www.nytimes.corn/2010/03/25/technology/personaltech/25pogue.html?src—me&ref=technology The information contained in this communication is confidential, may be attorney-client privileged, may constitute inside information, and is intended only for the use of the addressee.
