Opera on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 6:15 pm.
This year's Opening Night will feature the production Le Nozze di Figaro with Music Director James Levine
conducting a new production of Mozart's eternal masterpiece, directed by Sir Richard Eyre, who sets the
action in an 18th-century manor house in Seville, during the gilded age of the late 1920s. Ildar Abdrazakov as
Figaro leads a dazzling cast, including Marlis Petersen, Peter Mattei, Marina Poplayskaya, and Isabel Leonard.
The evening's schedule is as follows (all times are approximate):
4:45 pm Red Carpet Arrival
5:15 pm Committee Cocktail Reception (Balcony Level)
6:10 pm Must be in your seat
6:15 pm Performance (please note that you must be in your seats by 6:10 pm)
9:45 pm Post-performance Gala Cast Supper
(Tent in Damrosch Park adjacent to the Met)
The festivities will begin at 5:15 pm with an exclusive cocktail reception on the Grand Tier prior to the
performance at 6:15 pm. Immediately following the performance is a gala dinner with the cast at
approximately 9:45 pm.
The cost per ticket is $5,000 per person (billed to the business lines) as this year's pricing structure
incorporates a small portion of the Met corporate sponsorship.
**Please note, this is a Black Tie event.**
Kind regards.
