Subject: RE: Closing Out of permits
Date: Thu, 07 Jun 2012 14:38:46 +0000
Importance
Normal
Good Day,
Open Construction Permits:
1. Mechanical Building #1 & #2 Project 1002/1010
2. Master Addition Project 1004
3. Kitchen/Laundry Addition Project 1006/1007
4. Flagpole Pool Project 1013
5. Dock Shelters Project 1014
6. Main House (Additional Cabana) Project 1011
7. Five Palms Project 1015
8. Guest Cottage 0% Complete
Process to Close:
A final building, electrical and plumbing inspection must be done. Krauss Manning was contractor by LSJ to be our liaison
to DPNR. Once we contact them they will come out and perform all the inspection needed and complete the paper for
submission to DPNR.
If a Certification of Occupancy (C/O) is not filed with DPNR their records will continue to indicate open projects on LSJ,
making the process of applying for new permit that much harder. A C/O also gives DPNR a record that the building that
was permitted for construction was built to all VI building codes and specification. For a Home Owner or Business Entity a
C/O is sort mainly so the building can be transferred to a permanent power source, with LS) this is not the case.
Certificate of Occupancy is needed for all completed construction projects.

Monique;
Could you please update us on;
• Which permits are still open
• How do you close a permit
• What are the consequences of leaving a permit open, for a short period or indefinitely.
• Do we need C/O for some of the buildings
