How safe we are in this heated world ? The heat trapping green house gas never been at such core of every discussion , almost every innovation or technology invented as it is taking centre stage these days across the globe whether in its leadership meet, business summit ,student-teacher conversation or school curriculum environment has become the central agenda of every dissertation .In every scrutiny and scanning of service , products the straight question comes prompt and fast how less carbon dioxide it produce. The time is long pass to debate whether or not the world is getting fast warmer , whether development must not be traded off with reduction of carbon emission , rather the debate is on how fast and how extensively we must take a action to contain the erosion of carbon budget . It appears that all most all the nations , developed and developing or underdeveloped simply compete for taking their countries and the whole world at ransom. Like lemmings they are all in a mode of committing suicide either in awashed or eroded coastal line , or crazy and complex outburst of climate. In wide devastation by series of flash typhoons or cloudbursts across the globe , or just by migration of diseases borne over heat trapping pollution, calamity of coastal wash out , sudden tsunami, staggered seasons driven consequent drought and flood over the change of temperature , whether north or south today in both poles of the world the cost of survival is getting much higher as time of precaution or action is simply running out. Now time is already over where managing the changed climate is more pragmatic than mitigating the risk. The future of climate change is already there in retreating iceberg in Greenland or corroding coastline of Bali. In this inflection point of nature’s wrath and rigor , if something gets most unsettling blow to uproot its existence itself is the pride and pomp of our twenty first centuries destination of the modern world , our cities of dwelling, our coveted dreamland of metros , to aspire and prosper for better life , higher status and richer livelihood. The epicentre of modernisation or civilization , the boisterous , bragging cities of the modern world are fast becoming killing field with congestion of cars, escalation of concrete jungle and deforestation of green vegetation. Yesterdays’ village, suburb has been converted today’s city, mall again is further converting to tomorrow’s super city, megacity, an unrelenting mobility which brings the city nowhere. It simply evokes more and more fear and frustration in its apparently proud dweller filling their heart with black fumes and strains their soul with brazen anxiety about their future generation. A city which could have been created to give a pathway for the wealth, happiness and prosperity to the mankind is now being blamed, beleaguered and bemoaned by its very creator who repents and resents its existence. In this uneven war where the economy overwhelms ecology and environment, the city, the smug and super creation of civilization is just trapped in this strange hostility where the creator blames it on its own creation for every wrong thing it created, criticize it as self destructive where, it is this same human expectation which procreated it over the years of uncontrolled, uncensored growth at the cost of everything. Today when the Globe is still divided in the opinion and option of surviving the climate or steering the development (in fact not to even bother to admit that both are reconcilable ), the city , the gorgeous , groovy , gracious skylines , the sprawling , swaggering and snobbish malls and boulevards hanging around smooth, silky , svelte roads ,all those legacies of city , its genesis and its existence itself is being questioned , queering the every pitch of celebration for whatever glory it achieved till its inception. The hub of human development now convulses all that mindless growth, falls sick of ever mounting expectation ,suffers from overgrowth of so many discontent and dissatisfaction and thus fast losing its lust and love for life it has been enjoying so long. It is in a anomic suicidal path as the earth is fast disowning it , its overgrowth ,its congestion, crowd and concentration of poisonous emission .The same civilization, industrialisation which has grew it bigger now started detesting it , disdaining it , derecognisingit which just stretched its tolerance , cost its stability and ultimately shoved it to a state of depression and dipsomania. So while the globe never reconciles to its unbridled growth at the cost of climate, ecology and environment, Paris convention simply raises this precarious situation in front each every nation whether it likes or not to unconditionally admit that it will be further delayed and too late to reverse our beautiful world if we don’t take express and extended action right now. Our cities , the monument of our glorious growth, the metros , the nerve centres of our economy will just be fast trapped in a inglorious extermination , in an sulking situation , withdrawal from life , a destination our forefather , creators of this universe never dreamt of or our next generation the forbearer of our sin will never condone.
