In partnership with SEIU, they are conducting a door-to-door canvass in the Cleveland metropolitan area (coordinating 35-40 canvassers working for the past three weeks, and plan to surge to 100+ canvassers for the final 10-day push) - so far averaging over 1,000 contacts and IDs each day. Additionally, ProgressOhio is working with the group Black Men Vote to support a Somali community GOTV program, where they were able to recruit over 20 canvassers and field organizers working with their contacts to educate them on the candidates, assist with absentee ballot applications and get voters to the polls. Immediately after he secured the nomination and before he spoke at the national convention, Progress Texas did statewide media blitz to show how Cruz plans for the failure of Texas through medicaid cuts, a push to privatize Social Security and other failed Bush policies.
