Michael J. Glidden Electrical Services 4716 Estate Mafolie #12 00802 4-4-12 To: Tom Malnick Brice Gordon Re: 5 Palms Feeder Gentlemen, Good Morning. This letter is in response to your request for an alternate quote regarding power for 5 Palms. The alternative you requested was to extend the existing Flag Pole Pool Feeder. That feeder is roughly 2,500' long as it lies now. That length takes into consideration that it starts at the Mechanical Building Switchboard. The Switchboard being the absolute center of electrical distribution for the island. The existing Flag Pole Feeder was sized to feed expected loads and have the ability to accommodate small additional loads (misc. landscape lighting). To extend this feeder to 5 Palms would add another 1,950' of length to feed what should be a 100 amp service at 5 Palms. The combination of length, existing wire size and exsisting load already being fed eliminate the possibility any further extension of the Flag Pole Feeder. My proposal of 2-14-12 outlines a scope that basically replicates a `Flag Pole Feeder' for the other side of the island and stays within acceptable lengths utilizing the Mechanical Building Switchboard as the heart of electrical distribution for the island. Another explanation would be if you needed a new artery to feed blood to your head, one would tap off of the heart to feed it, not the tip of a finger. If you have any further questions please contact me at 340-344-4808. Thank You, Michael J. Glidden EFTA_R1_00555473 EFTA02039913
